Overall the new management has a disrespectful attitude to privacy and do not tolerate University students having fun and socialising. (DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY UNIVERSITY, THIS IS PURELY FOR STUDYING)

    - had issues where I've been charge extra which is acceptable as mistakes do happen, but when informing the staffs they denied without checking the facts on the first place and then asking for proof despite I was showing them my account transactions made from IHD.

Great place to make friends who are new to Darwin

Stayed in building 28, the guest accommodation. It was clean and comfortable but i felt as though i was in a cell. Very dark with no windows in the main living area and even the tiny concreted courtyatd had a high barred fence adding to the sensation of imprisonment. I would not choose to stay here again. Also not convenient for shops etc and only one bus so ideally you need a car if you stay here.

-As a place to live it's fairly okay and probably better place to live in if you want a study environment

Use to be a great place and I'm disappointed with the direction its going, staff don't seem to understand that students are young adults who make mistakes. The only good thing about this place was the friends I did make.

I highly discourage anybody from staying at this place. Stayed for 2 and half years and was not treated fairly. The maintenance guy will come in your room without permission or notice (which is highly creepy - what if I was a girl) and the staff are not at all considerate in handling difficult situations. Especially the REO who should be engaging students to socialise but instead has tried to disband groups and gatherings in anyway possible.

    - biggest issue I've dealt with was acquiring parking permit. When I moved in I declared I own a car showing them the rego paper and did get the permit but whenever I went to renew it they kept asking for rego paper, then what's the point of having a log book where we sign after taking a permit each semester?

    - once I was denied of getting a parking permit because I had one month rego on it. How am I not allowed to have a parking permit and was given out a temporary permit just because my rego was running out in 25-30 days? When I asked the staff to justify why I can't get one he couldn't explain anything just handed out temporary permit.

Good place and nice environment with trees and shades with many extra features to use...but costly and smaller rooms...

*This does not necessarily mean all the staffs were the same as there were good ones as well. But my personal experiences were not so good but do not discourage anyone from staying there as you'll find new people to meet.

But I'm giving it a low rating because of some of the personal experiences that I've dealt with which was unfair from my point of view
